INDEPENDENCE® BI-METAL HIGH-PRODUCTION BAND SAW BLADES DO A BETTER JOB CUTTING STRUCTURALS
CANTON, Ohio -- Independence™ band saw blades from M.K. Morse outperform other traditional blades when cutting structurals. The durability of Independence™ blades in structural cutting is due to a unique combination of special alloy backer and tooth materials that increase blade life in high-production structural cutting applications. The high-speed steel tooth edge provides superior wear as well as superior heat and shock resistance. Independence™ blades also feature special tooth geometry with positive rake to help overcome vibration and chip clearance problems that are common when cutting structurals.

Cutting structurals -- such as pipe, tubing, plate, angle and channel iron and I beams – pose the challenges of changing cross sections, erratic machining properties, and increased vibration, all of which conspire to cause premature blade wear. In addition, many structurals are made from A36 steel, a metallurgically “dirty” material with machining properties that can be erratic. Independence™ band saw blades have proven successful in overcoming the problems inherent in cutting structurals.

Independence™ band saw blades are part of a full line of Morse industrial band saw blades. This line includes the M42 and Matrix II production blades, as well as special blades for maintenance applications, wood sawing, pallet dismantling and die bands. For more information about M.K.
