Maintenance Technician-Industrial Equipment

Salary Range: $28 to $28 Hourly

Leading saw blade manufacturing company seeking multiple skilled Maintenance Technicians that will spend a large percentage of time troubleshooting equipment, providing preventative maintenance, and repairing equipment. On the job training is offered as well as a $1500 signing bonus.  

Essential functions: Would include those assumed for a manufacturing maintenance position but not be limited to:

  • Troubleshoot, conduct fault-finding evaluations, and maintain hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment in the plant.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Document the maintenance and repairs of equipment in the CMMS system.
  • Perform general housekeeping, and actively participate in 6-S initiatives.
  • Must be knowledgeable of and maintain compliance with applicable OSHA and EPA guidelines 
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting materials up to 50 lbs. and standing and bending.
  • Must be comfortable with confined spaces and heights. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years machine maintenance repair experience required (a related associates degree or certifications can be counted as experience)  
  • Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Must be computer literate and complete a mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic aptitude assessment.
  • Motor Controls and Mechanical knowledge is a must. Knowledge of VFD’s and PLC’s is a plus. 
  • Must be well organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks. 
  • Must have the ability to be resourceful when performing troubleshooting and repairs. 

 

Education Requirements: High school education or equivalent preferred. Certification in Mechanical and/or Electrical maintenance preferred.

Engineer Co-Op
 

Position summary: Provide manufacturing with timely and organized technical, process development and information and the tools to efficiently manufacture product.  Perform the engineering functions for new equipment and processes.

Essential functions:
• Works with engineering supervision to develop plans for activities (design equipment, product flow, time study, quality standards, etc.) associated with the manufacturing process, including, but not limited to: design, simulation and building of tools; process development, technical choice and use of perishables (lube, chemicals, tooling).
• Assists in the launch activity to design, simulate, purchase, develop and document equipment associated with the launch of new equipment or processes.  Processes need to meet estimated metrics and be robust to meet manufacturing goals.
• Learns the manufacturing processes to be able to drive the improvements in cycle time, quality and efficiency.
• Gain proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to review and understand part print design and intention.
• Supports the various departments goals using tools such as but not limited to: experimental design, process flow, simulations, SPC, problem solving.
• Assists with the implementation of cost reduction ideas or projects, which increase uptime, reduce scrap, and increase throughput to meet manufacturing objectives.
• Helps drive implementation and timely completion of both internal and external Engineering Change Notices as assigned.
• Understand and follow corporate procedures to be able to work within the system to effect change.
• Establish and maintain set-up, operator instructions, inspection criteria, equipment parameters, checklists and training materials for all operations.
• Supports the manufacturing area to identify bottlenecks, reduce inventory and non-value added activity.
• Works with hourly employees.
• Uses computer systems to perform data analysis, provide reports, coordinates corrective action and verifies completion.

Skills and experience: 
• Prefer students working towards a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or other engineering discipline.

Commercial Product Manager
Purpose: Own and profitably grow the Commercial product portfolio by setting clear strategy, priorities, and accountability across the product lifecycle, ensuring the right products are developed, launched, priced, and supported to meet revenue, margin, and Operational Excellence goals.

 

Position summary: 

The Commercial Product Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, development, marketing, and execution of the Commercial product portfolio across the full product lifecycle. This role owns product strategy, portfolio performance, and go-to-market execution to deliver profitable growth aligned with company objectives.

 

The role creates competitive advantage by translating insights from end users, channel partners, competitive offerings, and market and technology trends into clear product and GTM strategies. The Commercial Product Manager is accountable for product positioning, pricing strategy, launch plans, and marketing programs that enable Commercial sales through distribution.

 

Working cross-functionally with Project Management, R&D, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, the Commercial Product Manager defines product direction, requirements, and priorities. The role leads new product introductions, product improvements, and portfolio optimization from ideation through commercialization and post-launch performance review, serving as the subject-matter expert and internal owner of the Commercial portfolio.

  • Own the commercial product portfolio strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company growth, revenue and margin objectives
  • Manage the full product lifecycle (Launch, sustain, improve, rationalize, exit)

  • Define, plan & execute marketing and GTM strategies for commercial products

Territory Manager (Texas-Based Industrial Sales)

Position summary: The primary focus of the Territory Manager will be to work with select industrial distributors where we have qualified the distributor as an appropriate selling resource.  There may be occasions where the Territory Manager must interact with our independent manufacturer’s representatives to support a key piece of existing business or to transition a select distributor to coverage by a different sales resource.

 

Purpose:   To assist The M. K. Morse Company in increasing sales, market share and brand recognition.

 

Essential functions - The essential functions of the individual would include those assumed for a sales position and include, but not limited to the following:

  • Generate profitable sales growth for select industrial distributors (new and existing) in bi-metal band and carbide tip saw blades for metal cutting applications.
  • Subject matter expert for assigned geography
  • Maintain consistent presence in field with end users & distributors
  • Develop & maintain high level of technical proficiency
  • Adhere to all established sales processes
  • Provide feedback on new product development & assist with obtaining test sites/results
  • Provide sales and technical support along with testing, training and problem solving for key accounts, as needed.
  • Prepare monthly summary of activities including analysis of sales performance for all customers and planned activities to improve sales.
  • Provide the company with industry, end-user and distributor competitive information on band saw blades, including trends, new products and pricing information.
  • Plan and coordinate with the technical service staff where assistance is needed for testing and maintenance at end-user level.
  • Plan and coordinate plant visits for targeted industrial end-users and distributors.

Logistics Coordinator

Position summary: The Logistics Coordinator supports the company’s international shipping and trade compliance activities by ensuring import documentation meets applicable regulatory requirements. This role reviews freight invoices and customs entries for accuracy, including HTS classification, duty assessment, and transportation charges. The position also assists in the administration of The M.K. Morse Company’s USMCA and other applicable free trade agreement programs, including maintaining supporting documentation and preparing Certificates of Origin.

 

Essential functions - The essential functions of the individual would include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Logistics Operations Specialist and provide backup coverage as needed
  • Classify products under the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and assist with administration of the company’s USMCA program, including supplier certifications and Certificates of Origin (COO). 
  • Ensure compliance with the U.S. and applicable foreign customs regulations by maintaining accurate documentation and supporting broker communications.
  • Monitor and coordinate inbound and outbound international shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Review, audit, and process all freight invoices and customs entries; resolve discrepancies with carriers and brokers.
  • Track, trace, and follow up on delayed or missing shipments, providing timely communication to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized shipping records, schedule carrier pickups, and provide required shipment updates through customer or vendor portals.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with strong organization, initiative, and work ethic.
  • Experience supporting free trade agreement (FTA) programs, including USMCA compliance and HTS classification, preferred.
  • Prior experience in logistics coordination, shipping, or traffic management, preferred.

Engineer - Manufacturing

Position summary: The position is responsible for improving consistency, achieving the specifications and reducing the cost of the products manufactured by The M. K. Morse Company.

  

Essential functions - These include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and maintain process definition documents (SOP, PWI, Control plan, flow chart, PFMEA, troubleshooting guide, etc.) for current and new processes.
  • Identify and lead process improvement activities (safety, cycle time reduction, machine efficiency, cost/scrap reduction etc.) 
  • Lead machine capability analysis and obsolescence planning for the designated zones. 
  • Design new and improve existing process tooling and gaging. 
  • Lead engineer role in buy projects which involves, but is not limited to, equipment selection, supplier visit, process documentation, FAT, SAT, training, etc.
  • Support build-projects by involvement in equipment design, process flow, FAT, SAT, etc.
  • Support new product launch by reviewing product drawings, assisting in making prototypes, and developing process documentation. 
  • Support in developing standard training program for new hires
  • Involvement in weekly zone meeting (STAR team), which includes supporting day-to-day production activities (review and disposition hold area, assisting with down machines, etc.) 
  • Understand the manufacturing process to be able to drive improvements in cycle time, quality, and efficiency. 
  • Support cause analysis for internal (MRB) and external quality issues (customer complaints). 
  • Perform highly technical maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Skills and experience:

  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience working in the manufacturing industry 
  • Preferred: Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in welding technology
  • Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to review and understand part print design and intention.
  • Experience in using CAD software, preferably SolidWorks 
  • Experience in statistical process control (SPC) software, preferably Minitab
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts 
  • Must be a team player, capable of interacting with employees at all levels of our organization
