Second- and third-shift positions are available across multiple departments and come with a shift differential of $1.50/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate various machinery to set specifications, tolerances, and dimensions

Engineer Co-Op
 

Position summary: Provide manufacturing with timely and organized technical, process development and information and the tools to efficiently manufacture product.  Perform the engineering functions for new equipment and processes.

Essential functions:
• Works with engineering supervision to develop plans for activities (design equipment, product flow, time study, quality standards, etc.) associated with the manufacturing process, including, but not limited to: design, simulation and building of tools; process development, technical choice and use of perishables (lube, chemicals, tooling).
• Assists in the launch activity to design, simulate, purchase, develop and document equipment associated with the launch of new equipment or processes.  Processes need to meet estimated metrics and be robust to meet manufacturing goals.
• Learns the manufacturing processes to be able to drive the improvements in cycle time, quality and efficiency.
• Gain proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to review and understand part print design and intention.
• Supports the various departments goals using tools such as but not limited to: experimental design, process flow, simulations, SPC, problem solving.
• Assists with the implementation of cost reduction ideas or projects, which increase uptime, reduce scrap, and increase throughput to meet manufacturing objectives.
• Helps drive implementation and timely completion of both internal and external Engineering Change Notices as assigned.
• Understand and follow corporate procedures to be able to work within the system to effect change.
• Establish and maintain set-up, operator instructions, inspection criteria, equipment parameters, checklists and training materials for all operations.
• Supports the manufacturing area to identify bottlenecks, reduce inventory and non-value added activity.
• Works with hourly employees.
• Uses computer systems to perform data analysis, provide reports, coordinates corrective action and verifies completion.

Skills and experience: 
• Prefer students working towards a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or other engineering discipline. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word
• Excellent communication skills

Controller

Position Summary:  The Controller will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s financial and accounting functions, including regulatory compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning, improving operational efficiency, and driving profitability.

 

Essential Functions - The essential function for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Financial Management: 
    • Oversee all financial operations of the company, including the development and management of budgets, preparation of financial statements, and reporting.
    • Ensure the accuracy of accounting records and the timeliness of recording transactions.
    • Analyze financial performance against key business metrics; periodically reviewing, refining and enhancing metrics to stay relevant.  Provide periodic updates to management and company leaders as to ongoing performance and historic trends in key portions of the results of operations.
    • Provide input during the development of customer rebate programs and internal sales personnel sales incentive programs and monitoring, calculation and communication of the programs.
    • Participate in the annual and ongoing capital plan.   Input, monitor and evaluate capital projects, including working with operations and supply chain during the development and justification of capital projects.   
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all state, federal, and applicable international laws and regulations for financial and tax reporting.  Including periodic bank reporting and federal surveys. 
  • Strategic Planning: Work with the VP of Finance and other executives to forecast revenue and expenses, set financial goals, and develop a financial strategy that aligns with the company’s overall objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities. Implement effective internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, manage and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Audit Management: Coordinate and manage annual audits. Work closely with external auditors and accountants to ensure compliance.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banking relationships and other internal/external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or MBA is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a preference for experience in a privately held company.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, standard costs and basic variance analysis is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent leadership, team building and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Must have a high energy level and be a self-starter.
