Sayem Bin Abdullah, who earlier this year interned with the Research and Development team, posted on LinkedIn about his time spent with the company:
“Just had a fulfilling summer finishing up my internship with the Research and Product Development team at The M. K. Morse Company in Canton, OH. I truly enjoyed applying my research skills in solving industry problems. I worked on cutting tool (band saw) design, sawing simulation, prototyping, and briefly on process capability improvement. I learned a lot! It was a great experience I will carry with me throughout my career.
“I would like to thank my internship supervisor, Dr. Sekhar Rakurty, for the excellent opportunity. I would like to thank my colleagues from Morse, Nithin Rangasamy, Joseph Tarr, Roan Kirwin, Matthew Morelli, Michael Lambert, Lucas Whitmer, Dr. Sebastian Birceanu, and Dr. Pasan Wanigarathne for their consistent support during the internship!
“Alongside, I contributed to an industry-academia research project on additive manufacturing of stainless steel, which led to a conference publication (recently accepted) at the Global Conference on Sustainable Manufacturing by CIRP.”
Morse thanks Sayem for his time spent working with our team and thanks him for his contributions!
