Yes, but there are a few things to consider first. Be sure the saw’s operating speed does not exceed the maximum rated RPM of the blade. We offer metal cutting circular saw blade options (in 7-1/4″ and 8″ sizes) designed to fit standard hand-fed circular saws. For larger diameters, dedicated low-RPM metal cutting saws or chop saws are recommended for proper safety and chip collection. Also, we suggest using Aluminum cutting blades in most cases, as the steel cutting carbide grades may degrade prematurely due to the tannins of the wood. Lastly, be mindful of the chip trays, as you change back to metal may ignite the wood chips after cutting.
