Morse releases new carbide-tipped hole saw

Power Tool Accessories, Press Releases

Morse announces the release of the Kraken, a carbide tipped general purpose hole saw.

The Kraken is the newest innovation by Morse in an industry-leading performance line of hole saws.

The new blade’s 2/3 tooth design pattern with patent-pending carbide geometry offers faster cutting, longer life, better chip clearance, and a reduced felt torque. An enhanced side slot allows for quicker slug removal and a solid cap reduces run-out and vibration for more accurate cutting.

Because of its performance and benefits, the Kraken will immediately replace current MHST style hole saws.

With a 1-15/16” cutting depth, the blade offers exception performance when cutting plastic, fiberglass, composites, aluminum, carbon steel, fastener embedded wood, stainless steel, tile backer, computer flooring, and many other materials.

A new packaging design also allows users to more easily find the right blade for their application.
